Step into the era of Argy: A singular force in electronic dance music, the visionary artist shapes the future of an entire genre with creations that resonate universally. His influential journey with Afterlife, marked by iconic releases like ‘Tataki,’ ‘Pantheon,’ ‘Aria,’ and the collaborative masterpiece ‘Higher Power’ with Anyma, has established his firm position on charts and award lists. Argy, one of the most Shazam’d techno artists in the world, has solidified his status as a hitmaker in the music scene, becoming one of the all-time Beatport best-sellers, while his latest LP New World has accumulated more than 100 million streams on Spotify alone.
Born and raised in Rhodes, Greece, Argy’s early musical ambitions took him to London, where he studied Music Technology, having already spent most of his school years producing music. His first full release, ‘Love Dose’ on Poker Flat in 2005, made with one laptop and a small speaker, was a global underground hit and launched the young teenager onto the electronic music scene. Across the following decade, Argy went through numerous peaks and troughs as he embarked on a journey of self-discovery, flitting between styles; from 90s house to minimal techno. During this period, he formed connections with legendary labels like Cadenza and Cocoon, toured the globe multiple times, and had a myriad of releases on labels such as Defected and Permanent Vacation, as well as his own These Days outlet. Parallel to his electronic music output, Argy established himself in the soundtrack domain, composing music for high-profile brands such as Carolina Herrera, Ferrari, BMW, Pomellato, and BVLGARI, as well as participating in songwriting camps for creatives such as Virgil Abloh.

Emerging from the other side of the pandemic sparked the genesis of his current incarnation – a track called ‘Ketuvim’, which has not only altered his life trajectory but also triggered a whole evolutionary wave in electronic music. ‘Ketuvim’ was the catalyst behind Argy’s induction into the Afterlife family, where co-owner Matteo Milleri invited him to bring his distinct sound and run with it. The first release, ‘Tataki’, went viral, breaking the record of any other Afterlife release on YouTube, and quickly established Argy’s new sound with its haunting Indian mantra-esque vocal and the accompanying visuals, with multiple eyes moving in different directions. Three years after its release, the track was used by Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk in a training video, before he defeated Tyson Fury, connecting the track with his victory and becoming a national anthem in Ukraine. The viral success of his productions led to Argy being featured as the cover star for the August 2022 edition of Mixmag Spain, alongside high-profile remix work for Tiësto and Monolink.
After amassing one of the highest numbers of streams on Afterlife with a series of singles, in March 2024 Argy dropped New World, an awe-inspiring collection of material—all centered around his emotionally-charged, spellbinding aesthetic. With a strong influence from the iconic Matrix film series, Argy becomes a mystical journeyman venturing into a realm unseen by others, inviting listeners on a solitary journey into the uncharted realms of the unconscious mind. As The Groove Cartel summarised: “Masterful in scope yet tactile and inviting, New World unlocks primordial gateways to the mythical headspaces spiritualists, psychedelics, and questing trance explorers sought for generations. Argy’s New World is 2024’s cosmic game changer—and its architect an immortal mastermind.” This definitive LP was accompanied by a series of sold-out New World shows, where Argy transforms live performances into multi-sensory spectacles, leaving an indelible mark on concert-goers. The anticipated audiovisual New World album tour has been a groundbreaking experience for fans, particularly those devoted to the artist’s work, being an immersive journey that goes beyond the traditional concert experience by combining both auditory and visual elements, creating a multi-sensory extravaganza. The show traveled as far as Guiyang, China, making a rare and distinguished appearance for the local populace..
Argy has appeared at many of the world’s most influential club venues and festivals, including Exit, Tomorrowland, and EDC Vegas, among them, as well as his latest iconic performance at Ultra: closing the festival in a torrential downpour, making it a highly talked-about experience for 2024 attendees. He was also invited to perform on highly regarded platforms such as Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1’s iconic Essential Mix and leading YouTube broadcaster Cercle, galvanising his status as one of the foremost artists in the electronic dance music scene. With Cercle, he played a stunning set to complement the jaw-dropping scenery on the observation deck at Jungfraujoch, known as the Top of Europe. Surrounded by glaciers and eternal snow, Argy’s set marked the historic final solo Cercle show, closing an epic chapter for the iconic broadcaster and giving the final interview on the platform, which ignited a lot of traction online. The show racked up over 1 million views in its first month.
